Glassworks and Jewelry

Philosophy:
Welcome to A Change of Light Glassworks and Jewelry. Designing, creating, and enjoying the medium of glass has taken me from the art of stained glass, to glass fusing, and now to jewelry. I am committed to providing quality pieces, whether it is jewelry, a fused piece, or a stained glass. For pieces that a customer has designed, I will work with my client to create a piece that meets the customer’s requirements. I will scan the items (or take pictures), e-mail them to the customer and work the design process.

Studio:
My studio is a place that satisfies all my varying interest. I have a place for stained glass, glass fusing, and jewelry making. I have now added a sandblaster to my glass toolbox. I hope to be able to provide services in that medium in the future.

Materials:
I use only quality materials. For the jewelry, I work with fine silver and sterling silver; I work with gold filled and gold plated. If I have a client that can only wear silver or gold, I can create a piece with those materials.

Glass is what it is all about for creating a unique stained glass. As many colors there are on a color wheel there are even more for glass selection. The colors can vary depending on the light coming through it throughout the day. The materials I used for creating a stained glass varies from a grinder (with varying bits), to a ring saw (for intricate cuts), to a wet sander, and a drill press.

Pricing:
The pricing for the jewelry is called out under each item on the following pages. Prices may vary depending on the materials used (gold filled will naturally cost higher than gold plated). The pricing for the stained glass will vary according to the size and complexity of the piece. Please contact me for further information.

Availability:
Most of the jewelry is available. There are some pieces that are no longer in my collection, but should you like the design I can re-create it. If I can no longer find the same beads, I will provide you with other options.

Stained glass pieces will take longer. Normally once a design is agreed upon it should take me two to four weeks to complete (depending on other orders). Discussions and e-mails will be an integral part of the creation of this unique piece of art.

Custom work:
As mentioned previously, I am available for creating custom pieces for both jewelry and stained glass.

Beaded Jewelry Repairs:
If you have a piece that needs to be “revamped,” needs to be restrung, or requires minor repairs please e-mail me.
